When should my child start preparing for SPM English?
Students do not have to wait until Form 5.
Form 4 is an ideal time to strengthen vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking while progressively becoming familiar with the skills required for SPM.
This allows students to enter their examination year with stronger foundations.
Does LJEC have a Form 4 English programme?
Yes.
Our Form 4 programme is theme-based while following SPM-related skills and formats.
Students develop useful vocabulary, ideas, grammar, reading, writing and speaking skills through topics that can later support their SPM preparation.
Does LJEC offer SPM English speaking preparation?
Yes.
Speaking is developed during our regular classes, and students can also join specialised programmes including the FREE SPM English Speaking Revision Class, Ace Your English Speaking Intensive Workshop and SPM Oral Mock Exam Practice.
Does LJEC offer specialised SPM writing preparation?
Yes.
Our regular classes develop writing throughout the year, while Super Writers™ SPM Intensive provides additional focused preparation for students who want to strengthen their writing before SPM.
Does LJEC provide SPM English mock examinations?
Yes.
Students can participate in the SPM Oral Mock Exam Practice for speaking as well as our Online SPM English Mock Exam for Reading and Writing.
These programmes allow students to identify areas that still require improvement.
What is the SPM English Intensive Prep Course?
The SPM Intensive Prep Course provides concentrated revision of important SPM English skills and examination strategies.
It is particularly useful for students who want an additional revision boost closer to the examination.
